The Faculty of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies and the MEITS project at the University of Cambridge are jointly organising a workshop on grammatical issues of the Chinese language for Chinese language teachers in the UK. This workshop aims to raise teachers’ awareness of some of the grammatical issues of the Chinese language, to share our findings in L2 acquisition and to help to find ways in dealing with difficulties in the teaching of Chinese. The workshop will take place on 5-6 July 2018 (5 July: 2pm-5.30pm and 6 July: 9am -12.30pm).
The workshop will consist of presentations, Q&A and discussion. Each presentation will focus on one aspect of the Chinese grammar, and participants are encouraged to raise any question they may have and participate in the discussion. In addition, there will be a presentation on undergraduate admissions to the University of Cambridge.
